Introduced around 1942-1943, the Deck Zip Jacket was an integral part of the US Navy sailors' equipment. Made of "Jungle Cloth," this dense fabric is windproof and water-repellent, ideal for braving sea spray on the deck of ships. Perfect for mid-season wear, this jacket stands out thanks to its "Jungle Cloth" construction, a dense, water-repellent fabric also used on the N1. This thick cotton is both windproof and partially waterproof, ideal for braving sea spray or changeable weather. Inside, the wool lining offers comfort while being lighter and more breathable than that of the N1, making the Deck Zip Jacket particularly pleasant to wear in spring or autumn. With its clean lines, zip closure, and straight cut, it perfectly embodies the utilitarian spirit of American naval wear while adapting to the demands of modern life.
