N1 US NAVY Deck jacket - Brown/Khaki - Blank back

The N1 Deck Jacket originated during World War II to meet the needs of Navy crews stationed in Europe who required a warm jacket for temporary movement on the decks and passageways of their ships. To fulfill this requirement, the U.S. Department of Defense commissioned the creation of a jacket closely resembling the one already in use by U.S. Army troops, with the exception of its distinctive blue color. The second version, the N1, was produced in khaki-colored wool, with an alpaca lining and collar. The zipper closure was protected by a flap secured with a row of buttons or metal hooks.
